My Fall Essentials

The beginning of fall was warm and hot which was unusual - As of lately cooler Fall weather has come to NYC.

Fall is my favorite season! Its the season to layer your summer pieces with warmer pieces. Even an excuse to buy some knits and just stay home with a cup of hot chocolate.

I have more Fall Essentials - but they fall under Basics so I should save that for another time.

These are the 7 Fall essentials in my closet as of lately:

1. Chunky Knit

This chunky knit from Zara has become my favorite piece for this fall. I won't be surprised if I wear this at home and outside.

2. Leather joggers

I swore I'd never wear sweatpants to school - no matter how crappy I feel. So these leather joggers from Topshop helps me keep my word. They are as comfy as a pair of sweats but fashionable appearance wise :)

 3. Plaid (Anything)

I'm wearing plaid pants here. But during the fall, plaid is a huge part of my wardrobe especially plaid button downs. On a lazy day I throw on a plaid shirt and black jeans and call it a day.

4. Black Jeans

These babies are from Topshop and I'm so glad I invested in these pairs. It is soft and goes great with everything :)

5. Boyfriend Jeans

I have like 3 pairs of boyfriend jeans because I love that loose fit. I honestly felt so weird wearing normal jeans after the summer was over because I wore boyfriend jeans the whole duration of my summer. Whether it is distressed, dark denim, light wash, etc. Everyone should have a pair of boyfriend fit jeans.

6. A slip dress

This slip dress is from Zara. But any slip dress/any dress is great as a layering piece. Whether it is a floral dress/maxi dress you can dress it up or dress it down.

7. Black Strappy tank top

I usually wear this and put a blazer over it or a thick cardigan for the colder days. I love dressing this shirt up or even wearing it casually with my cream cardigan.
